Instructors at King Dance Academy

Carleen Homand Goldberg opened King Dance Academy in 1988 and has the distinction of having the longest running studio in Milford. She has studied dance since the age of 2½ under the direction of Fred Lucier. She has also trained in NYC with Joe Lanteri for jazz and theater dance, Desmond Richardson & Lisa Danias for ballet, Michelle Assaf for lyrical, and Chet Walker for theater dance in the style of Bob Fosse. Carleen has also studied tap under the direction of Savion Glover who has performed and choreographed several Broadway Productions. She continues to train in NYC.

Ashley Boerger Lopes has been with King Dance Academy since the age of 2½. She has studied with Mike Minery at the Broadway Dance Center in NYC, jazz and tap with Jeff Shade and Alan O'Nickel from Steps on Broadway in NYC, Lyrical under Suzi Taylor and Hip Hop with A.C. Ciulla of the New York City Dance Alliance. Ashley continues her dance training with various choreographers in NYC, most recently Mia Michaels.
